Dancing Divas (ages 6-10)
A great combination class for recreational students, or those who just like a little
bit of everything. This class encompasses ballet, tap & jazz technique. A continuation
of the Dancing Dolls class, with greater emphasis on technical performance and class
structure. The Dancing Divas class is a great preparatory class for classes in the
graded technical division.
Primary Division
Primary Division classes are designed to provide an outlet for students who would
like to begin or continue their passion for dance. ASA provides students with the
highest quality dance training allowing young dancers to reach their fullest potential.
These classes provide flexible scheduling and open opportunities to dance for boys
and girls ages 6 through high school.
Combo Classes
Combo classes allow dancers to attend one class a week, incorporating the fundamental
teachings of three different genres: Ballet, Tap and Jazz. We also offer one subject
classes where students may specialize in one particular genre. Students are placed
in classes based on their experience and are continually evaluated by our faculty
to insure proper placement.
A Step Ahead Company
Minis ages 4-6
Inspired young dancers ready to train in a more professional classroom, that demonstrate
a natural sense of rhythm, grace, technical abilities and potential should be placed
in this program to train in a more focused, intensive classroom setting. Our agenda
is to plant strong roots and foundations both technically and artistically for future
dance artists to build upon. Students study a minimum of 2 ½ hours weekly.
Petites ages 6-9
This is the perfect bridge between the Mini and the Junior program. Preparing the
dancers for the more technically demanding program ahead of them, greater emphasis
is placed on classroom discipline. Young dancers are encouraged to work hard to
improve their ballet and jazz technique, and are given loving help along the way.
Students must be exceptionally focused in order to succeed in this program. Students
study a minimum of 3 ½ hours weekly.
Juniors ages 9-14
This program is for young dancers that excel technically with the passion, desire
and dedication to pursue serious dance training. Students are selected through auditions
and class evaluations. Intensive ballet and jazz techniques along with tap options
provide a strong foundation for these young dance artists. Students study a minimum
of 6 hours weekly.
Seniors ages 13 - Adult
Artists will strengthen and polish their skills while experiencing the practices
